The CD4043/CD4044 are quad-coupled tri-state COS/MOS or non-latches with independent Q outputs and separate set S and reset R inputs. The Q output has a three-state function and is controlled by a common three-state control input EN. When EN is logic 1 or high level, the Q terminal outputs the state of the internal latch; when EN logic 0 or low level, the Q terminal is in a high impedance state. The tri-state function allows the CC4043 output to be directly connected to the system bus.
