Guangdong Establishes LED Lighting Standard Technology Alliance

The platform will mainly focus on the forward-looking research of LED lighting technology, focusing on a number of key common technologies and forming the processes, methods and testing standards within the Alliance. Experts pointed out that the establishment of the Guangdong LED lighting industry standardization public platform and the establishment of the Guangdong LED lighting industry standard technology alliance marked a crucial stage for the development of the LED lighting industry standardization system in our province. Standardization strategy is an important measure to promote the development of strategic emerging industries.

According to reports, LED lighting industry is a strategic emerging industry in our province to accelerate the cultivation and development, in order to speed up the core competitiveness of LED standardization research, this year, the Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau and the Provincial Department of Science and Technology took the full force of the industry to compile and publish "Guangdong Province LED lighting Industry Standard System Planning and Road Map. At present, more than 600 enterprises in the province have voluntarily applied for the formulation of 130 standards most urgently needed by the industry. The first batch of 87 local standards in Guangdong Province have been formally approved as an overall project, with 93 enterprises. The business units took the lead and 486 units participated in the drafting of local standards.
