Texas Instruments Introduces the OMAP5432 Processor-Based Evaluation Board for High-Performance Industrial Applications (EVMEVMOMAP5432 EVM provides easy evaluation and benchmarking for a wide range of applications requiring high-performance processing and graphics at low power, including human-machine Interface (HMI), portable data terminal (PDT), digital signage, and medical monitoring terminal equipment.
Built on a dual 1.5GHz ARM® CortexTM-A15 MPCoreTM, the OMAP5432 EVM delivers performance at an unprecedented speed. The product is priced at $329 and is a cost-effective tool for software prototyping, evaluation applications, and benchmarking for designs. The EVM provides customers easy access to important interfaces such as Ethernet, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, audio I/O and SATA, as well as expansion ports that offer a variety of display and camera options. The product provides a power management and thermal management framework for fanless operation in a variety of applications. In addition, the tool is equipped with a custom-built power management integrated circuit (PMIC) - TWL6040 audio codec.

From evaluation to production design development
Customers who use the OMAP5432 EVM to prototype and benchmark their designs can accelerate their product development by choosing from a variety of OMAP543x-based modules from TI hardware partners. These modules are available from leading system modules (SoM) and single board computer (SBC) vendors, including Embedded++ (EPP-Pico-OMAP5430 module), Phytec (phyCORE-OMAP5430 SoM module), SECO (μQ7-OMAP5 module), and Variscite ( VAR-SOM-OM54 module).
In addition, TI Integrated Design Company (IDH) partners and TI Design Network software members can customize hardware designs to meet customer needs or provide software services from component level optimization to system integration and application development.
