The 74LS151 is a complementary output 8-to-1 data selector with pinouts as shown in the figure.
Select the control terminal (address terminal) as C~A, press binary decoding, select one of the 8 input data D0~D7 to send to the output terminal Y, G is the enable terminal, and the low level is valid.
(1) When the enable terminal G=1, there is no output (Y=0, W=1) regardless of the C~A state, and the multiplex switch is disabled.
(2) When the enable terminal G=0, the multiplex switch works normally, and the data of one of the D0 to D7 channels is selected and sent to the output terminal Y according to the state of the address codes C, B, and A.
For example: CBA=000, then select D0 data to the output, ie Y=D0.
For example: CBA=001, then select D1 data to the output, ie Y=D1, and so on.
