According to the announcement, Shi Lirong resigned from the non-executive director of the seventh session of the Board of Directors, and served as a member of the Remuneration and Appraisal Committee and member of the Nomination Committee due to personal matters. Shi Lirong’s resignation will take effect immediately. After resigning, Shi Lirong will not take any position in ZTE.
Shi Lirong graduated with a bachelor's degree in radio and information technology from Tsinghua University in 1984. He graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University with a master's degree in communications and electronic engineering in 1989. In the same year, Shi Lirong worked in ZTE Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and served as the semiconductor engineer and production department director, the deputy general manager of ZTE, the senior vice president of ZTE, the executive vice president, and the president.
In April 2016, the position of Shi Lirong was replaced by Zhao Xianming, former executive vice president. At the same time, Zhao Xianming replaced Hou Weigui as chairman of ZTE Corporation.
