Veeco has announced that Hangzhou Silan Mingxin, one of the largest LED manufacturers in China, has ordered more than one K465i TurboDisc® MOCVD equipment. The equipment will be installed at the Silanxin core Hangzhou plant to expand the production of high-brightness LEDs.
Mr. Jiang Zhongyong, President of Silan Mingxin, said, “We started to cooperate with Veeco by purchasing K465i MOCVD equipment because we heard that the industry is very positive about its excellent system design and performance evaluation. We believe that mass production of LEDs using Veeco equipment is correct. Choice. As the demand for LEDs from applications such as general lighting, TV backlighting, and outdoor display screens is increasing, we intend to cooperate with business partners such as Veeco to expand production quickly."
