What is the extent to which this new flagship brand can be implemented? Out of curiosity, I thoroughly dismantled the W50J.
The W50J has a fragile label on one of the screws. This label breaks when touched and cannot be completely peeled off, so the disassemble will lose its warranty.
As can be seen from the rear screws, dismantling the W50J requires a cross and T5 screwdriver.
Torque-adjustable electric screwdrivers prevent screwing and are safer than conventional screwdrivers. The following officially began to dismantle!
First, the base is removed, and the base is actually two aluminum alloy legs, each fixed with 2 screws on the body.
The screws that were dispensed were pre-applied with screw glue, so the upper screws felt tighter. The resistance of the screw glue can make the screw loose for a long time. Most of the screws on the precision instrument will be screw glue, and it is the first time to see it on the screw on the base.
The position of the interface of the base is labeled with left and right labels, and a slot is left to ensure that the direction is not inserted correctly.
After the base is removed, it can be snapped onto the carpet for subsequent dismantling.
Remove the protective cover of the four rack screw holes. This is the first time I have seen the protective cover on the TV. All the TVs I touched before were exposed screw holes.
Remove all the screws on the back cover of the plastic to remove the back cover.
Remove the rear cover TV internal layout on the glance, W50J layout and most of the 4K TV is the same: the left power board right motherboard, the lower center is the LCD driver board, through two cables connected to the LCD panel, the speaker is located The bottom of the TV. Although the arrangement is nothing special, the flat horizontal lines are far more neat than any television I have removed.
The panel label clearly indicates the panel from INNOLUX. The label also contains the trademark of the micro-whale, so this should be a customized display module.
The layout of the power board is very neat, and even the direction of the heat sink is uniform.

The liquid crystal driver board is located under the galvanized steel sheet printed with the micro whale logo, and it also serves as an auxiliary heat sink. In the 1080p TV usually do not have this driver board, the motherboard is directly connected to the panel module, but the 4K screen data is too large, it is necessary here to divide the signal into left and right half screen, and then output to the LCD module.
The WIFI and Bluetooth module in the middle of the bottom support 2.4G/5G dual-band.
This WIFI/BT module is connected to three antennas. It is no wonder that its wireless signal is also the best among the smart TVs I have ever touched.

The internal line of the microwhale does a good job. The main board to the LCD driver board has a shielding layer. The other 90-degree turns of the cable are specially treated, and some of the cables are just trapped in the groove of the aluminum alloy base plate. In the antenna, the wires are all snapped.
The cable part is fixed with foam double-sided tape to ensure that the wire will not vibrate and produce noise during use.
Continue to dismantle and remove all circuit boards, speakers, switches, etc., and the rest of the metal back plate brackets cannot be disassembled in this direction. The screws are screwed out of the screen.
From this point of view, it can be seen that the metal back plate consists of three parts: the middle is a thick aluminum alloy support, and the upper and lower sides are connected with galvanized steel plates.
There is also a small hole in the aluminum alloy bracket. The power of the LED backlight is connected here.
In order to try to separate the screen from the casing, it must continue to be disassembled, leaving only the bottom of the screw that can be screwed off.
Remove the metal frame at the bottom and it's very thick, apparently from the CNC.
The middle of the border is the front view of the micro whale logo.
Compare with iPhone6s to know how thick it is.
After the frame is removed, the two galvanized steel plates attached to the aluminum alloy frame can be further removed to expose the driving bars of the liquid crystal module.
Of course, there will be a LINOLUX tag on the driver bar.
Remove the screws that hold the drive bar, and turn the drive bar down. In theory, the fixation between the LCD screen and the housing has been separated. Care must be taken here that the wires between the drive bar and the LCD panel are directly bonded and it is difficult to recover once they are accidentally torn.
Finally, remove the T5 screw around the screen, I thought I could open the back cover, and found that this circle of screws is only fixed left, right, upper border, can only take down the three frames.
Comparing the difference between the lower left border and the lower border, obviously the strength of the other three borders will be much lower, mainly playing a decorative role.
The screen part does not have a shell at all, and the back-drawing metal backboard is integrated with the screen. No wonder the present TV can be so thin.
Turning the screen over reveals that the edge has a ring of insulating mats. The metal frame is mainly used to cover this part of the decoration.

1, the main board
According to the official specifications, the W50J uses the MStaer 6A828 processor and a motion compensation chip. However, the heat sink on the motherboard is actually soldered to the motherboard, and the main face of the main chip is missed.
There are three sponge conductive blocks on the back of the motherboard that can be directly contacted with metal brackets, providing good shielding and anti-static properties.

I really do not know the power board, in addition to neat, good workmanship and ultra-thin, do not see other advantages.
3, LCD driver board
There is a separate shield cover on the outside of the LCD driver board, which is also a heat sink and is connected to the main chip through heat-conducting rubber.
Even on the back of the main chip there is heat-conductive rubber so that the heat of the board can be dissipated through the metal back.
LCD driver boards are usually used in conjunction with the panel module, which is the circuit board provided by the group light, so the style is different from the motherboard and the power board.
The W50J's speakers are suspended inside the TV through a suspension of silicone suspension to prevent speaker vibrations from affecting the TV.
Some low-end TVs don't use loudspeakers instead of speakers. The effect will be much worse. The sound quality of the cabinet is very obvious.
The box also has a logo of a micro whale, which should also belong to a deeply customized accessory.
Three shock-absorbing sponges are attached to the front and back of the box to further avoid vibration.
The difference between the front and rear of the speaker is the front-track full-band unit, followed by a passive diaphragm. Passive diaphragms are very effective in boosting the bass sound of the speakers, especially on small-size speakers. The most typical representative is BOSE's "passive dual-mode resonance" technology, which can achieve a very strong bass effect on very small speakers.

Since they were all removed, I stumbled and tested the power and heat of the next W50J.
W50J minimum backlight power consumption is only about 32W, the default backlight setting is about 65W, the maximum brightness is only about 104W, power consumption or control is quite good.
The thermal image of a 4K H.265 video played for half an hour in a streaking state. The maximum temperature is the heat sink position on the motherboard. The 51 degree is not high for an electronic product.
Looking at the main board part alone, the heat is concentrated, except for the temperature at other parts of the heat sink.
The maximum temperature of the LCD driver circuit is 39 degrees, which is the PCB temperature detected through the edge of the shielding cover, and the temperature on the shielding cover is obviously much lower.
The maximum temperature of the power supply is 45 degrees, and the control is quite good.
This is a stable temperature for 30 minutes after the plastic cover is put back in. The highest point is only 35 degrees. It is also the main board position.
It also magnified the look of the local, higher temperature of the heat vent above the motherboard position.
The power supply temperature is only 32 degrees.
The temperature of the driver board is already very low, and the maximum temperature is 26 degrees. This is the position of the TV wall screw base. Heat is transmitted through the metal back plate and screws.
Test summary
This review made me understand that the rise of micro-whales is no accident. On the one hand, they have strong background support. On the other hand, they really do meticulous products. Whether it is content support or physical work, it is outstanding in the same price products. . Especially after dismantling, the layout and neat layout of the interior are much better than any television I have detached.
