[China – March 10, 2015] The e-Community has announced a new study with its online community of electronic engineers. The survey results show that the Internet of Things (IoT) is highly concerned by consumers around the world and has a high potential value for the development of China's electronics industry.
As part of the “Development of the Connected World†campaign organized by e-Community, the survey covered more than 3,500 consumers from North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, more than 500 of whom are from China. Forty-three percent of respondents said that it would be beneficial to have more devices and appliances connected to the Internet. The survey also focused on the significant demand for more Internet connectivity in Chinese users, suggesting that in China, the Internet of Things is evolving through the mobile Internet, which is dominated by mobile phones, and will show greater potential.
In Australia, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, an average of 31% of consumers believe that the more networked devices in their homes, the better, and this figure is more than twice as high as 71% in China.
The e-Community will showcase the latest range of product solutions and technical services during the 2015 Shanghai Messe Electronics Show to drive engineers' innovative development of IoT applications and support them from design to production. Please visit the e-Community booth (E3 Hall 3162) from March 17 to March 19 to visit new products from leading international brands.
