Maury Wright Recently, Taiwanese LED manufacturers Jingyuan Optoelectronics and Yuyuan Optoelectronics obtained the patent license of Luminus Device, a US LED manufacturer, allowing the other party to manufacture LED chips and products based on the PhlatLight technology platform. Luminus has been working on large-area PhlatLight LED chips to replace LED arrays in solid-state semiconductors, from projectors to streetlights. SSL products based on PhlatLight technology, high brightness, good reliability, can meet the needs of large-size high-resolution, high-definition TV.
The patent license will help the two companies to introduce LED chip products that simplify the LED packaging process and increase the amount of current for lighting and micro-projection applications.
According to Luminus, the IP technology has more than 100 applications. In the previous March, Luminus authorized the company and signed the patent cross-incorporation in February 2009.
Recently, the crystal power operation was very big. Last week, it invested in the SSL plane lighting manufacturer Oree, and in January this year, it acquired Guanggao and cooperated with LED packaging expert Yiguang Electronics and display manufacturer TPV Technology.
