Freescale night vision, intelligent headlight control and lane keeping system design
The camera system of an advanced driver assistance system can display the front and rear conditions of the car on the screen even at night. It can analyze the video content for lane keeping and long / short distance headlight control.
A picture sensor provides the input video frame to a single-core or dual-core architecture and is optimized by the DSP for imaging filtering and for edge detection and bright spot detection. Additional system requirements include an appropriate communication interface and an integrated DRAM interface for fast access to external memory and embedded flash memory to implement a replacement cost system.

Freescale's tire pressure monitoring system solution
The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is a new standard designed to improve vehicle safety. Freescale uses its advanced integrated technology to supply TPMS solutions that provide real-time tire pressure detection and warn drivers of abnormal tire inflation. Freescale's TPMS products are designed to meet the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 138 and automotive manufacturers around the world.
Freescale's tire pressure monitoring uses a pressure sensor, an 8-bit MCU, a radio frequency (RF) transmitter, and a dual-axis acceleration sensor with X and Z axes. This device is installed on a module on the rim to provide independent real-time tire pressure measurement for each tire, and these measurement data can be sent to the on-board dashboard to quickly notify the driver.

The central body control module (BCM) is the main hub for the main storage of body functions such as interior and exterior lighting, security and access control, comfort performance of doors and seats, and other convenient controls.
Freescale's leading Power Architecture-based 32-bit and S12 and 16-bit MCU series is targeted at a variety of BCM applications. SBS integrates pressure regulation with CAN or LIN physical interface in a single package. H-bridge drivers and a series of high-end switches (eXtreme switches) drive high-current loads and replace relays.
The gateway is used as an information bridge for various in-vehicle communications, including Ethernet, FlexRay â„¢, CAN, LIN, and MOST protocols. It is also used as a central diagnostic interface for automobiles.
