Taiwan's LED mold equipment supplier Single Well Industrial has been working with LED packaging company Everlight Electronics to develop high-efficiency LED packaging mold equipment. These new equipment will help reduce manufacturing costs by 60% during mass production, which will reduce the cost of high-efficiency LEDs of NT$8 to NT$3.
Single Well has provided a test product to Everlight this quarter and is preparing to begin mass production. Single Well's February revenue was NT$38 million, an increase of 125% year-on-year and an order value of NT$470 million. The company also expects revenue to reach NT$400 million in the first half of 2008.
