Abstract: Oil resistance is the immersion of the package in oil under certain conditions, and the flexibility of the package before and after exposure to the grease is monitored after a certain period of time. Therefore, this index is one of the important performance indicators of moon cake composite film packaging, mainly by comparing the tensile strength and elongation at break of the package to judge whether the package is resistant to oil and fat. This paper uses Labthink XLW intelligent electronic tensile testing machine to test the breaking force and elongation at break of mooncake plastic composite film packaging, and introduces the experimental principle, basic process and the applicable scope and parameters of the test equipment. Provide a reference method for screening and monitoring the oil resistance of packaging.

1, meaning

Mooncakes are usually baked from fats and oils, so the packaging materials used in mooncakes have high requirements for oil resistance. If the oil resistance of the packaging material is poor, the performance of the packaging material is prone to great deterioration during long-term contact with the grease, such as delamination of the packaging material and increase in the brittleness of the packaging bag. Therefore, for a soft plastic package containing a fat or oil component in the package contents, good oil resistance is one of the necessary conditions for maintaining the basic performance without deterioration. In this paper, by testing the oil resistance of moon cake plastic composite film packaging, comparing the tensile breaking force and elongation at break of the composite film, judging the strength and inferiority of the composite film tolerant grease performance, thus providing food enterprises with effective methods to monitor the quality of packaging products.

2. Status

At present, the domestic testing method for the oil resistance of packaging materials can refer to the QB/T 1871-1993 "Biaxially stretched nylon (BOPA), low density polyethylene (LDPE) composite film, bag" standard "Measurement of oil resistance" .

3, test samples

A moon cake plastic composite film package provided by a food company.

4, testing equipment

In this paper, the oil resistance of the sample is tested by the XLW intelligent electronic tensile testing machine independently developed by Labthink.

4.1 Principle of the test

The sample is clamped between the two chucks of the clamp, and the two chucks are moved relative to each other. The force value sensor and the built-in displacement sensor on the movable chuck are used to collect the force value change and displacement during the test. Change, and thus calculate the tensile, tearing, deformation rate and other performance indicators of the sample.

4.2 Scope of application

(1) This equipment is suitable for plastic film, composite materials, flexible packaging materials, plastic hoses, adhesives, adhesive tapes, stickers, medical patches, protective films, composite covers, metal foils, separators, backsheet materials. Performance tests such as stretching, peeling, deformation, tearing, heat sealing, bonding, puncture force, opening force, low-speed unwinding force, and pulling force of non-woven fabrics, rubber, and paper fibers.

4.3 Equipment parameters

l Range: 100 N, 200 N, 500 N three ranges are available.

Seven test speeds of l50 mm/min, 100 mm/min, 150 mm/min, 200 mm/min, 250 mm/min, 300 mm/min, and 500 mm/min can be set according to the requirements of the corresponding standards.

5, the sample preparation process

(1) Cut 10 strips of 15 mm wide and 150 mm long in the longitudinal direction of the specimen with a cutter.

(2) Take 5 sample strips, put them in olive oil (23 ± 2) °C for 48 hours, then take them out, and blot the oil on the surface of the sample strips with filter paper.

(3) Test the tensile force and elongation at break of the sample strips before oil immersion (before oil immersion) and the sample strips after oil immersion (after oil immersion).

6, the test process

(1) Clamp the sample to be tested between the upper and lower clamps so that the long axis direction of the sample strip coincides with the center line of the two clamps.

(2) Set test parameters such as sample width, test speed, and initial distance between the two clamps.

(3) Click the Start Test option and the test begins. The instrument automatically records and calculates the tensile force and elongation at break of the sample.

(4) The oil resistance of the sample is expressed as the ratio of the tensile force and the elongation at break of the sample before and after the oil immersion to the tensile force and elongation at break of the sample before oil immersion.

7. Test results

The average tensile force of the sample before immersion was 54.238 N, and the elongation at break was 115.6%. The average value of the tensile force of the sample after immersion was 50.654 N, and the average elongation at break was 90.7%. The oil resistance of the samples expressed by the breaking force and the elongation at break were 6.61% and 21.5%, respectively.

8. Conclusion
